TheBigbeat.FM™ is a commercial-free streaming radio station whose mission is to raise funds in support of music education, including providing instruments. Our station is supported by the membership of our listeners. The funds raised through memberships will support the broadcasting fees associated with our station and our annual donation to our partner: Music For Young Minds Foundation.
It is fundamental to our mission that the students we support have access to the music and the form of broadcasting that we are working to keep alive. Therefore, the students we support are provided memberships free of charge, enabling exposure to rock music and all the genres that influenced it including blues, jazz, and more. The music is delivered by the hosts in a “free form” style; a lost method of music broadcasting that was foundational to fostering a variety of music genres on radio, including rock.
